In Loving Memory of
Francisco B. Pedroza Jr.
Francisco B. Pedroza Jr, aka "Tio Frankie" or "Pancho", an independently owned contract truck driver and resident of Austin, TX, was unexpectedly called home on September 5, 2021, after a long battle with COVID.
Francisco is survived by his wife of 38yrs Maria Pedroza and daughters, Lizette Pedroza of Austin, Krystal Pedroza of Austin, Krystine Pedroza of Austin, sons Francisco (Rose) B. Pedroza III of Austin, Roland (Danice) Pedroza of Austin, his sisters Paulina (Mateo) Loera of Crystal City, Fidela P. Casillas of Delavan, Wisconsin, Maribelle (Mark) Benavidez of Austin, and his brother Jose (Hortencia) B. Pedroza of Cotulla, his 10 grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe B. Pedroza, Francisco Pedroza Sr., his brothers Alejos Pedroza of Cotulla, Manuel Pedrosa of Racine, Manuel Pedroza of Cotulla, his sisters Olivia Pedroza Mendoza of Monterey Mexico, Margarita Pedrosa of Cotulla, Amelia P. Rivera of Austin, and Francisca P. Rios of Austin.
Francisco B. Pedroza Jr. was born on November 7, 1959, in Pearsall, TX to Guadalupe Benavidez and Francisco Pedroza Sr. He played football, baseball, and played the coronet in the Cotulla high school band. He graduated from Cotulla High School in 1979. He married Maria DeLeon of Cotulla and remained in Cotulla until 1981 when he moved his family to Marble Falls, then Lockhart, back to Cotulla, back to Austin, Minnesota, and finally settled and called Austin home.
Francisco was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He spent many years on the highway traveling to support and provide for his family. Family was of the utmost importance to him and would do anything for them most especially his kids and grandkids. There was not anything that you could ask of him that he would say no. He enjoyed spending time with family and especially his best friend and sister Maribelle. He enjoyed inviting family and having breakfast at some of the local Austin restaurants. As a young child whenever we heard our parents call us by our full name, we knew we were in trouble, but not with "Tio Frankie" his manner of showing his love and affection was by calling you by your full name. No words can express the loss and emptiness left behind with his passing. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at St. David's South Austin, for caring for him during his final days and updating the family.
A funeral service will be held on September 13, 2021, 4:00-9:00pm at Harrell Funeral Home, 4455 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX. Rosary will be at 7:00pm followed by a Memorial Service/Bible reading and prayer.

Going with him to the truck and getting snacks for myself, I would remember having his white truck with that big bunk bed in top, and I would sleep there. I wish I could go back to that time and re experience it over and over again.
