Frank David Garcia, age 66, of Hanford, CA, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Community Regional Medical Center. Frank was born at Fort Clayton Hospital in Panama Canal Zone on January 29, 1949. He received his first pony at three years old, given to him by his grandfather, Lorenzo Teran, in Gorgona Beach, Panama. He enjoyed riding, running and playing at the beach with his cousins. Later, he attended Catholic school in San Antonio, TX and Our Lady of Fatima school in Los Banos, CA. He attended Merced High School and then joined the United States Army to serve his country. Frank retired in 2004, from the California Department of Corrections as a Chief Engineer. He worked for 20 plus years in state service starting the state hospitals. Frank was a remarkably intelligent man who could fix anything and provide a solution to any problem that arose. He was always thinking of better ways to do things and he was a wealth of information on so many subjects and so many levels. His intelligence and wit will be missed by all that came in contact with him. He had a heart full of love and compassion and it was evident by the things he did for others. Frank loved talking and meeting new people. His interests included, raising and fighting chickens, raising Whippet dogs, dirt bikes, driving his truck, archery, locksmith and notary, reading and audio books. Later, he enjoyed bicycling and tai chi with family members. He attended Bible Study at Calvary Chapel in Hanford, CA. Always courageous and optimistic, Frank refused to give in to any life changing and medical setbacks. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Costa Garcia; and his brother, Lawrence "Larry" Garcia. Those who loved him and will miss him dearly include his mother, Brunhilda Teran Garcia Lara of Texas; his step-father, Pedro Lara of Texas; the love of his life, Mary Enriquez; his two daughters, Megan Garcia and Morgan Garcia; sister, Lisa Gimba and husband Ron of Oregon; sister Linda Rogers and husband John of California; brother, Johnny Garcia and wife Sharon of Florida; sister, Tona Svoboda of Texas; loving nephews, Jason Gimba of Oregon, Arran Gimba and wife Emily of Oregon, John Paul Garcia and wife Sharon of Florida, Aiden Garcia of Florida, Jheren Svoboda and wife Mindy of Alaska, Jesse Svoboda of Texas, Akili Holmes of California, Nieces, Catrina Tichenor and husband Todd of Arizona, Sara and Rachel Tichenor of Arizona, ALondra Rogers of California, Taylor and Tanji Holmes of California, Carei Medeiros and Jai'a of Texas, Gabrielle Garcia of Indiana, Taylor, Alyiah, Jonathan and Nicholas of Indiana: Mary's family, Rachel Huerta and husband Isaac, Raymond Enriquez and wife Pam, Joe Enriquez and wife Laura; Mary's nephews, Ray, Aaron and wife Lorie, and Peyton Enriquez, Gabe Vandersteen, Rey and David Morales, and Michael Huerta; Mary's nieces Michelle Vandersteen and husband Jeff, Madison Enriquez, and Charlotte, who brought him so much joy each day. She had a special name for him, "Uncle Stinky"; Mary's dogs, Buddy, Abby and Rosie; loving aunts, uncles, cousins. and extended family and friends. For more information, please contact the family.

Frankie right now I could really use your wisdom and advice! I miss you terribly!! Wish I could see you one last time just so I could show you all the things in my life.
