Frank J Vinci Obituary
Frank enjoyed many things, from hosting yard sales, eating thin crust pizza and watching old episodes of Barnaby Jones. Frank had a hobby of working with wood and he mastered it to perfection leaving behind his talented creations in every home he owned. He was able to hone his craft by studying all sorts of videos and books, as well as talking to people in the trade. Frank loved sharing his knowledge and offering advice....and you got the advice whether you asked for it or not. Yes, that was Frank. He was so helpful, smart, hard-working, generous, easy going, witty, kind, loving, protective, sincere, and a funny person.
His greatest passion, however, was taking long distance Amtrak train rides with his beloved wife. They were in the midst of planning a trip to New Jersey when he was taken ill. He missed NY and NJ food almost as much as he missed reconnecting with his old friends. Frank loved meeting new people and could easily start a conversation with anyone about anything. Once you met him, you would remember him. He was always optimistic and encouraging right to the end. His wit and sense of humor would have you in stitches and your sides would hurt from laughing so hard. Sometimes just his facial expressions could get you going, not to mention his "code" words when he wanted to talk in public without others eavesdropping. I'm sure he has everyone in heaven laughing right now.
Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife Lynn, his sister Antoinette (Joseph) Ippolito of Fort Mill, SC, brother-in-law Thomas (Alice) Bogert of Stony Point, NY, sister-in-law Karen (J. Robert) Howes of Winona, MN, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and a loyal friend and neighbor, Jeffrey Luke. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Carmine & Anna Vinci, parents-in-law Rubin & Edith Stanphill, daughter Megan Vinci and nephew Thomas J Bogert, Jr.
A special thank you to Dr Robert Williams and Dr James London of Ocala, FL, Dr Christine Gasperetti of Philadelphia, PA and Dr Vivek Rajagopal of Atlanta, GA for the outstanding medical care Frank received over the years.
Honoring Frank's wishes, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frank's honor to Marcus Heart Valve Center at Piedmont Hospital, 95 Collier Rd NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.

Happy 3rd Father's Day in Heaven to my wonderful, loving, and protective husband Frank. I miss you and Megan more than you could ever possibly imagine. Today is especially hard because it's just another reminder that you both are in heaven without me. On June 22nd at 5:35pm, it will be 2 years, 2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days, and 2 hours since God called you home so you wouldn't suffer any more. My love for you will continue throughout eternity.

You enjoyed hosting yard sales so much and made it look so effortless that today, the second anniversary of your passing, I hosted a huge yard sale. Thank goodness for helpers is all I can say. Piedmont Healthcare Foundation will be receiving 20% of the proceeds, plus independent donations, in your memory.

Hi Sweetheart, Each day without you gets harder rather than easier. Today marks a year and a half when God took you to his heavenly home. He knew there was no cure and wanted to end your suffering. You put on the bravest face ever as you never complained nor told me that you knew the end was near. I knew you heard what I said as you laid there dying because you opened your eyes briefly as if to say "I love you" one final time.
I heard from Antoinette & Joe recently and they reminded me of some of the funnier times with you.....such as when you and I were hysterically laughing during one of our visits to Aunt Vicky and Antoinette had a hard time keeping a straight face and then the time we were all in Disney and had just boarded the boat for "It's a Small World" and you made the funniest comment to the people on the platform waiting for the next boat to arrive.
The picture attached was taken during one of our previous visits to see your sister in the month of April so you both could celebrate your April birthdays.
I miss your laughter, I miss your handsome face, I miss your love and devotion, I miss your quick witted responses, I miss your "I don't care what people think" personality, ...I MISS YOU MORE THAN ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY IMAGINE.
