FRANK SCHIAVONE Obituary
Of Baldwin, on Sunday, February 5, 2017, age 85. Husband of the late RoseMarie "Herby" (Kovach) Schiavone; loving father of Kristine Kessler (Edward); brother of Julie Sperling (Edward) and the late William, Edith, Millie, Lena, Rosie and Mary; grandfather of Edward Anthony Kessler; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank enjoyed bowling and was a member of the PA Bowlers Hall of Fame. He also loved to golf and was a great dancer. Visitation Wednesday 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:00 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery with full Military Honors. Contributions may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

Dear Schiavone Family,
I was truly saddened at the news of Frank's death. He was absolutely one of the finest men I ever knew, and without equal as a bowler. I never saw Red without a smile on his face, and I never met a person who had a bad word to say about him. I always enjoyed competing with and against him on the lanes, and I will never forget trips to Rochester to bowl in the "lilac".We didn't bowl very well, but we partied like rock stars courtesy of our benefactor, "Lou".
Every time I hear thunder, I know it's you bowling in Heaven. Rest in peace, Red, and God Bless You.
