Fraser’s ‘positive ripple effect’, from years and years ago when I knew him, remains consistent, enormous, lasting. With notorious generosity of spirit, energy, heart, he lives on - that fearlessness, easy laughter, impeccable style, those laughing eyes and raised eyebrow, that fist in the air for justice, that dancer soul. My condolences to those who love and loved him, miss him, carry him forward. May knowing him be a weave of celebration in your heart always.

Dear Family and Friends of Fraser, Its been two years now and I still think of him often, driving home last night he was suddenly in my thoughts- must be getting near to St. Patrick's Day one of Fraser's favorite days along with Pride Weekend in Vancouver. Today I get the reminder email of his passing as if I needed it. Love you Fraser always. Kim McLaren Housing. Hugs to all.

I just found out Fraser had passed when my Christmas card to him was returned with a message from a friend of Fraser's. I had known Fraser for close to 25 years and loved him dearly. We didn't talk often but always picked up right where we left off. My husband John and I last saw Fraser a few years back when we took a short cruise to Vancouver. He treated us like royalty and we had a blast. There never lived a kinder man. And he was quite handsome too. We will miss you Fraser

It is hard to believe it has been 2 years since we were in Vancouver staying at Fraser's place. Don't know what we (me, Susanne & Maurice) would of done without Fraser. Such a great friend to us and especially our brother, Maurice especially when he was so ill. We will remember Fraser as being...KIND, CONSIDERATE, ACCOMODATING....
When referring to us he used the term...the sisters...and we tried to be that to him with phone calls and gift cards until his passing. Barb

When I saw Fraser a couple of weeks ago he reminded me of long we had known each other. It was the Gay Games in 1990 and I had been in Canada only a few months. Here we are 27 years later and we always kept in touch.

Fraser, you were a great fighter for justice, an inspiration. You will be sorely missed, as there is still much injustice to be righted. It was a honour to know and work with you.

I met Fraser in the early eighties and he was a very special young man. I haven't seen him since then but have never forgotten him - nor am I surprised he has touched so many people. I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

I met Fraser over and over again volunteering for the NDP and came to knew him as a kind, reliable, graceful man. When I saw Fraser in the room I knew this was going to to be good, I knew I was in the right place with the right people, and we were going to have fun and make the world a better place.
He did.

Fraser was an iconic part of the LGBT community and in years long gone by, helped me keep things organized and tidy. On cleaning days if there was a left over date he was very good at telling them they either had to leave or pick up a mop!! xoxo :)

I have known Fraser since April 2001 when I moved into the Manhattan CoOp- his home for many many years. He has always been a dear friend and taught me what it meant to be a neighbour and the importance of "community."
No words can describe what Fraser meant to my family. He was a fixture in our home twice a week since 2009. My boys called him Uncle Fraser. He was family and will remain in our hearts.
Love you forever Fraser.

Fraser will be dearly missed by so many, he is much loved and will be remembered for giving tirelessly to make the world a better place, especially for those in need. Fraser acted in many of my films, including Street Kids and Youth & AIDS. He always spoke his mind, loved helping others, and was a good friend. I will miss him and keep loving him.
