Freda Ford Obituary
Freda was devoted to her family and delighted in her eight grandchildren. She also touched many other lives with her affection and care. She will be remembered for her vitality and sense of fun, keen intellect, phenomenal memory and lifelong passion for literature. Freda spent many wonderful winters in the Laurentians, where she skied and snowshoed with family and friends. She was an avid cyclist during the off seasons.
Friends may visit with her family and pay their respects at a visitation on Friday, August 22, 7 to 9 p.m. and at a memorial on Saturday, August 23 at 11 a.m., Rideau Gardens, 4239 Boul. des Sources, D.D.O.
The family would like to thank the special staff of the West Island Palliative Care Residence, who lovingly cared for Freda in her final weeks. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Freda's name to the Palliative Care Residence at 265 André-Brunet, Kirkland, Quebec H9H 3R4, www.wipcr.ca.

I have just the most fond memories of my dear cousin Freda.
It was always a great pleasure to receive her letters and lovely photographs of the Ford Family.

My deepest condolences to the Ford family. Mrs. Ford was my Grade 2 teacher at Roxboro Elementary. She was a wonderful teacher and to this day, 35 yrs or so later, I remember that one of her favorite colors was brown and she made the best Rice Krispie treats :), obviously things only an 8 yr old would remember. She will be sadly missed, but not forgotten. RIP
