Gabriela Covarrubias 76, of La Feria entered into eternal rest July 27, 2015.
She is survived by her loving family; her husband of 59 years Sylvestre Covarrubias; daughters; Rose Garcia (Chon) of La Feria, Belinda Covarrubias-Cama-cho (Noe) of San Antonio and her son, Sylvestre Covarrubias, Jr. of La Feria; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Pauline Albrecht, Frances Bustamante, Micaela Pullin, Oralia Romero and her brothers; Jose Loya, Mario Loya, Noe Moreno.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and a rosary will begin at 7:00 PM.
The Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, July 31, 2015 departing the Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen at 9:15 AM for 10:00 AM at St. Francis-Xavier Catholic Church and interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew J. Sierra, Sylvestre Covarrubias III, Heliodoro Alejandre III, Edwardo Cavazos, Jr., Adam Cavazos Jesse Covarrubias and Marco Alejandre.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Harlingen.
