Gale Pearsall Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 6, 2024.
Gale Pearsall, 77, of Sleepy Hollow, formerly of Villa Park and Arlington Heights, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 3, 2024.

Gale was the life of every party and lit up the room with his stories and jokes. He loved going out for a ride on his Harley with his wife Gail, going to the shooting range, and having a beer with his loved ones. An avid hunter, Gale's favorite annual tradition was spending opening day in his beloved hometown of Elroy, Wisconsin with his sons, grandson, and friends. He proudly displayed the memories of these hunting trips on the walls of his living room.

A jack of all trades, Gale worked at Fencel-Tufo/Sunrise Chevrolet for more than 40 years. The retired life wasn't for him, so he filled his years with many jobs including being a school bus driver and maintaining hair salon suites.

He was preceded in death by his parents Otis and LaVerne, brothers Everette and Lloyd, and brother-in-law John (Lil) Morrison. He is survived by his wife Gail; children Jean (Chuck) Kafka, John (Pam) Pearsall, Joanne (John) Meciej, Jason (Angie) Pearsall; grandchildren Stephanie (Justin) Ulba, Stacey (Jacob) Daniels, Jessica Kafka, Kayla (Matt) Gehrman, Jake Pearsall, Jordan and Jenna Meciej, Emma, Joey, and Kate Pearsall; great grandchildren Edwin and Harper Ulba; sister-in-laws Patti (Mike) Franklin, Laura (Dan) Moberg, Petey (Jack) Foley; brother-in-laws Dick (Judi) Morrison, Pat (Nancy) Morrison; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Gale did not want his loved ones to be saddened by his passing, but rather wanted them to celebrate all of the good times he had with them over the years. His family is planning a celebration of life which will take place on October 12th.

Gale's family sincerely thanks everyone for their support, prayers, and kindness during these last two years. They could not have done it without each and every one of you.

A beautiful morning on Lake Tahoe fishing almost 500 feet down in June 2019. Hope they are biting in heaven!

My condolences to Gail - my son-in-law Jason and all his siblings. Gale will be remembered for his kindness and love for life. He loved family and celebrating good times with everyone. We shared a special bond through our grandchildren. He and I both celebrated every event in each of their lives. Always there to crack a joke with that terrific smile on his face! Gale, you were loved by all that knew you and you will be missed greatly. Rest in peace my friend.

My husband and I went to Aruba with Gail and Gale and no one knew that the beaches were topless. I will never forget the day we went for a walk on the beach and Mr Gale almost broke his neck looking at all the topless women. Gail and I laughed so much when Gale and Mike came up with different reasons to go for a walk on the beach, usuall to grab a beer. What a great time we all had :)

I first met Bubba when he was my neighbor in Arlington Heights. Our backyards backed up to each other. At that time I was single and he was always there to help me with any car issues. His daughter Jean and I worked at the same company and became good friends. I stood up at Jean and Chuck´s wedding. And now Chuck takes care of all our family cars.
I will always remember Bubba as friendly, funny and a man with a big generous helpful heart. God speed.
