Gary Vernon Jensen

Gary Vernon Jensen, 68, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Redding, California. Born on May 12, 1957, in Bakersfield, California, Gary lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, and a deep connection to both nature and community.

Gary was the proud owner of Pressed for Time, a unique artistic venture through which he created intricate landscapes using plant material he cultivated himself. His work resonated with many and was showcased at art shows throughout Northern California and Southern Oregon. His talent and dedication earned him features in several newspapers as well as Enjoy Magazine, where his artistry and vision were celebrated.

A man of many talents and passions, Gary found joy in music-playing both the guitar and piano-and spent countless hours agate hunting with a competitive spirit that matched his enthusiasm for discovery. His nieces and nephews affectionately called him "Uncle Fuzzy," a name that reflected his warm personality and fun-loving nature.

Gary was known for his compassion, loyalty, creativity, and sense of humor. These qualities endeared him to all who knew him. He was also a devoted member of the Church of Christ, where he found spiritual fulfillment and community.

He is survived by his beloved wife Linda; his son Nathan; his stepson Dustin; his siblings Karen, Steve, and Leslie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him. He was preceded in death by his father Duane.

Gary's life will be remembered not only through the beauty of his artwork but also through the love he shared with family and friends. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Redwood Mobile Park 502 Redwood Blvd
