I will always remember Gary as one of the great group of guys that got Pawnee City started on the road to basketball success. He was a great guy and a good friend. I'm sorry I lost track of him.

I was so sorry to hear about Gary. I remember him and Sterling being such good friends. You are all in my prays as well as all of the Barker family from Pawnee. I remember Sterling and Gary eating all of the crust off of one of mom's batches of homemade bread after basketball pratice one day, she was so mad at them but could not help laughing at the same time!!! He always had just a great sense of humor.

I was saddened by the news of Gary's passing. He was a great athlete, a bit shy, friendly and kind. We were classmates at MHS, Monmouth, IL
My deepest sympathy.
