Gary Robert Wagner
Passed away suddenly at Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan on June 19, 2014 at the age of 66. Gary was predeceased by his parents Fred and Marie Wagner, and his brother Rudy Wagner. Gary is survived by his loving wife Myrna, of 43 years, his two children Carol Wagner and Graham Wagner, granddaughter Taylor Wagner, sister Helen Quinn (Larry), brother Ted (Rose), sister-in-law Faye Wagner, brothers-in-law Russel Olson (Beth), Roger Olson (Elaine), Wayne Olson, and sisters-in-law Donna Ebenal and Ardis Beaton (Rock), numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was born in Kelvington, SK on January 23, 1948. Gary worked as a piano tuner for most of his life, having been trained by his father when he was a teenager. Gary played hockey with the Fort Qu'Appelle Combines hockey team for many years, and he enjoyed this very much. Gary was very much involved in the lives of his children and granddaughter. At Dad's request, there will be no funeral. A gathering for immediate family will be arranged for a later date. Arrangements will be entrusted to Tubman's Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.

I am shocked to hear of Gary's passing. Gary tuned my piano from 1988 to 2014. He was an excellent tuner and always interesting to visit with. My deepest sympathies.

Although I only met this kind man once, I was impressed with the time he took to answer my son's many piano-tuning questions. We are so sorry to hear of his sudden passing.

Some random things I owe to Uncle Gary. An exceptional high standard of piano tuning. Ability to move large objects without hurting myself. Ability to spot BS a mile away. Feeling like I have a great family.

Condolences to Gary's family. I taught Gary the first year I taught at Central Collegiate and when he moved to Fort Qu'Appelle he tuned our piano, helped move our piano, and I often saw him as he was out for his daily walk.

Aunt Myrna & Family,
Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with you all. I will always remember the mischievous type laugh and grin Uncle Gary would bolster. Our conversations were far too few, but our last couple truly revealed a proud dad and grandfather that will most certainly be missed.

It is an especially sad day for me to hear of Garys passing. I still remember the day down At Taylor Beach when I first met Gary and he asked if I played hockey. I said yes and became part of the combines and spent many nights and weekends playing hockey with Gary. I loved to dump the puck up the boards I always knew Gary was there to get it feed it to the other guys. Gary was a true sportsman and gentleman. He wasn't interested the game for personal glory he was there for the team. It has been awhile since we last talked but I'll miss Gary he was areal friend.
Myrna and family, Joan and I send our condolences. Robert and Joan Kidd
