Gary Scott Warren

Dennis - Gary Scott Warren of South Dennis, MA, formerly of Rochester, NY, died peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025, surrounded by family. He succumbed to respiratory complications from lung disease. Gary was born on January 16, 1952, in Mt Pleasant, NY. He was adopted at the age of three by the late James S. and Helen (Gates) Warren of Ionia, NY. He graduated from Allendale High School in 1971. He worked as Security Manager for Lawyers Co-op/Thompson Reuters in Rochester for over 35 years. Following his retirement he moved to the Lewis Gordon Senior Complex in S. Dennis, MA where he worked as property manager until last Spring. Gary is survived by his half-sister, Sheila Hart of Cass Lake, MN, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was especially fond of his cousin Judith Dunklee of S. Yarmouth, MA and her three children, Deborah and Jeffrey Cheshire (Evan and Elizabeth) of Chesterfield, NH, Kathleen and Edward Monahan (Zachary and Jakob) of Stoughton, MA, and Rebekah Dunklee of Easton, MA. Throughout the years he spent many vacations, holidays and special events with them. Gary was an avid reader and a lover of movies of all genres. He enjoyed playing games with his family, and he was always thinking of ways to outsmart his opponents. Gary loved his cars, and he was particularly passionate about antique automobiles. He also enjoyed traveling and was planning his next trip just days before his passing. Gary loved helping people and always went the extra mile when someone needed something. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private burial will take place this summer at Forest Hills Cemetery in Charlestown, NH. In lieu of flowers donations in Gary's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
