We think of you often, Uncle George. Always with the fondest of memories. Thank you for taking care of us the way you did. You were one of the most generous, caring human beings I ever knew. Miss you, always and forever.

Just read of George's passing today 11-22-09. George was part of the five member group that he and I studied with at Law School. I moved to CA in '61 and lost track of everyone. Intended to attend 50th year reunion and renew acquaintances but was mistakenly told that there was to be none. George was a kind and goodhearted person when I knew him and can safely assume he stayed that way. Let me share with you a funny story with the hope it will ease your pain. At one time while we were still in Law School, he was in an auto accident that pushed his front bumper up against the vehicle's body in such fashion it almost looked like the car was made that way. And then was in another accident that did the same thing with his rear bumper. We kidded him about that and had a good laugh together. I remember when he got his first job after passing the bar. He was paid something like $50/mo but had an office and could have his own clients - I think. Lots of time and water under the bridge. Long distance from Mattapan to Newton. Hope my memories don't refresh the sadness of his passing. They are meant to do the opposite by recalling his goodness. Very sincerly,

There are no words to explain the void our family has right now...Uncle George was larger than life. He and Aunt Lori did so much for our entire family, all of us, that we could never, ever, ever repay them. We will miss him every day of our lives, and love him forever in our hearts.

We just heard of the death of George. We will always keep the happy memories of him...the illegal firework displays on the 4th of July, the get together's and George singing "Danny-Boy". Hopefully the strong family bonds will help all of you to get through this.

Julie,
While it has been a long time since our paths have crossed, I still wanted to express my condolences about the loss of your father-in-law. May he rest in peace.

I give you this one thought to keep,
I am with you still, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle Cape Cod rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone....
I am with you still....
In each new dawn.

Dear Loretta (and family):
I was saddened to hear about George. We go back a long time. It was 58 years ago when I went to Blue Hill Ave. to have George give me driving lessons. He was careful and meticuous then, as he was later in life when he gave Bob and I legal advice. And what a wonderful addition to our relationship you made Loretta. I sure have some great memories, as I hope you do, too. I know these last years have been difficult for all of you, but you have so many good things to remember and reminisce about. Thank you, Loretta, for being my/our friend throughout these years.
I will be in Boston for a few days (Aug. 9, 10, 11), and hope we may get together then. I'll be in touch.
Fondly,
Nancy (Jacobs)

thank you Mr Belsky for your kindness during a difficult time in my life. You were there for me and comforted me like a father would do. I will never forget your tenderness

George's legacy will always be with us: be it his love of family, life, or community. He left his sense of integrity, commitment as a model for all of us to follow. His respect for humanity and the natural around us was examplary. His sense of humor will sorely be missed.
