George Boras Obituary
A lifetime New Yorker, George was the ultimate host, delighting his many friends with his perfect recall, hilarious sense of humor and lively stories of working in the theatre and of the city he loved.
George managed the Broadway Theatre for the Schubert Organization and acted in off-Broadway productions. He traveled widely in Europe, Asia, and Africa. After retirement, he became an avid bridge player.
No memorial service is planned; George's ashes will be buried with Geno's in Evergreen Cemetery, Crystal Falls, Michigan.
Contributions in memory of George may be made to the Gay Men's Health Crisis, 307 W. 38th Street, NY, NY 10017.

Don and I have been friends with George for 30 years.........often having lunch together. This is such sad news. In our recent phone calls.........we were planning another lunch. This is shocking news........and I am so saddened to loose such a good and loyal friend.

George was one of my most very favorite friends and bridge partner. My own health problems unfortunaely prevented me from playing at his apartment or any other place in the past year.
