OBITUARY NOTICE George R. "Porge" Brookes, Jr. Age 35 George Richard "Porge" Brookes, Jr. 35 of East Liverpool, OH passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a sudden illness. A graduate of Beaver Local High School, George earned as associate degree in Criminal Justice form Jefferson Community College. He worked as a case manager with Psych Care in Calcutta and was previously employed at Columbiana County Counseling Center as a case manager. George, along with several friends, opened up a Bruno's Pizza Shop in Columbiana. An avid golfer, George spent many sunny days on the golf course. He is survived by his soul mate and loving wife, Michelle (Clutter) Brookes and their precious baby girl, Aubrey LeeAnn. Also surviving are his parents, George R. & Dorothy "Dot" (Bishop) Brookes, Sr., and sister, Jennifer Brookes all of East Liverpool, OH. George also leaves behind two nephews, Sean Hudson and Tim Clutter, a niece, Halee Greenaway and father and mother-in-law, Brady and Clara Clutter. "Sugar" will also be sadly missed by brother and sister-in-law, Wade and Amy Greenaway and sister-in-law, Tammy Clutter along with two aunts, Peg and Jim McCoy and Joyce McLaughlin. Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Nutter of Faith Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in United Presbyterian Cemetery of Calcutta. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Family and friends will gather for food and fellowship at the East Liverpool Hospitality Center of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on West Fifth Street following the burial
