George Dillman Obituary

George W. Dillman, 98, of Ashland, passed away Friday at Shenandoah Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah.

Born in Girardville, Aug. 12, 1917, he was a son of the late William and Anna Taylor Dillman.

He attended Ashland High School and worked at Laubenstein Manufacturing, Ashland, for 33 years until retiring in 1979.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Zion's Reformed UCC, Ashland. He was also a member of American Legion Post 434 and a past commander of VFW Post 7654, Ashland.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew; one brother and three sisters, William, Doris, Rita and Lorraine.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann Kessler, Ashland; two sisters, Margaret, wife of Frank Knock, Ashland, and Betty Dicinto, Kansas; grandchildren, Jason, Derek, David and Chris; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Brock Cemetery, Ashland, with the Rev. David Grant officiating. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements. Visit www.kullfuneral.com.
