FOWKES GEORGE E.
Age 79, passed away on February 12, 2013. Survived by his beloved wife, Betty J. Moravick, he was born in 1933 to the late Harold and Eliza Fowkes, and was preceded in death by siblings, Pearl Rudy, Clarence R. Fowkes, John Fowkes, Earl Fowkes, William Fowkes and Florence Bonomo. Aside from his wife, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. George served as a captain in the United States Air Force, was an attorney with a law practice spanning 50 years, mainly in Oakmont, and was an avid outdoorsman and champion trap shooter who competed in many state and regional competitions. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139, where friends will be received at 1 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, with a memorial service to follow at 2p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ducks Unlimited. To a special person whom we were both so blessed to get to know. We will always cherish all the memories that we shared with George he will always have a special place in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
