GEORGE FOWKES Obituary
Age 79, passed away on February 12, 2013. Survived by his beloved wife, Betty J. Moravick, he was born in 1933 to the late Harold and Eliza Fowkes, and was preceded in death by siblings, Pearl Rudy, Clarence R. Fowkes, John Fowkes, Earl Fowkes, William Fowkes and Florence Bonomo. Aside from his wife, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. George served as a captain in the United States Air Force, was an attorney with a law practice spanning 50 years, mainly in Oakmont, and was an avid outdoorsman and champion trap shooter who competed in many state and regional competitions. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139, where friends will be received at 1 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, with a memorial service to follow at 2p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ducks Unlimited. I was so honored to have George as my friend. I loved sharing coffee with him and listening to his very colorful stories. I could have listened for hours! I miss him with all my heart.
