George A. Jaracz, 80, passed away on February 9, 2023 at his home in Delray Beach, FL with his loving wife and daughter by his side. George was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 30, 1942. George married Janet Dybas on April 12, 1964 who was the love of his life for 58 years and raised their lovely daughter, Corinne Jaracz whom he adored.

George was employed at the General Electric Company, The Cady Construction Company, and also farmed.

In 1989 he and Janet drove across country and relocated to Palm Desert, CA where they built their dream home and resided for 27 years.

He retired from the Hertz Equipment Corporation of Indio, CA. In 2016, they moved to Delray Beach, FL.

George loved to travel. Some of his favorite vacation spots were to Monaco, Italy and London. He enjoyed summers on Cape Cod and traveled extensively throughout the US.

He was the best husband and father anyone could wish for. The world was a better place with him in it. George enjoyed his daily walks with his daughters Shih Tzu dog named Winston.

Happy New Years Eve Daddy! We are missing you a lot! We wish so much you were with us but we know you are watching us. We promise to be careful tonight! Now I´m the designated driver!!! I don´t have my usual lead foot with Mommy in the car so you don´t have to worry...Wish we could toast each other at midnight like always....now I have to drink the majority of our champagne I guess, but there is a glass for you at the table and always will be. Here´s to our beautiful and loving family! Loving you today and always Corinne

Merry Christmas Daddy! I miss you so much this holiday season. I used to love our drives around to see all of the decorations, but it is not the same without you being with us and never will be. I bought Mommy your "special" gift you gave to her each year and then decided on Christmas Eve morning I was buying her a second one which I had delivered to Mommy directly from you....so she got double this year. Mommy and I carried on with our family traditions, but our hearts were empty and missing you being with us. Mommy said you wanted us to continue on with the things we all loved to do as a family.... which we did to the best of our ability. Missing you more with each passing day....Mommy gave me the Christmas gift from you to me. Thank you Daddy for remembering me this Christmas as always. I hope you liked the gift I got for you. Merry Christmas Daddy! Love you always. Corinne

Daddy always made me laugh and smile...I can't begin to write enough about that...we were in Las Vegas and Daddy wanted to see if he could lie on the bed and kick his feet up to the ceiling and hit the ceiling with his feet. I was in hysterics. We have photos of "Daddy in action." The best was in Monte Carlo and we were heading out to Nice, France and we ended up on a bus enroute to Tel Aviv. We were introducing ourselves to the people on the bus and they all looked at us like, "Who on earth are these people. We don't know them." Daddy was shaking everyone's hand. Once we realized we were not headed in the right direction we got off the bus and we all laughed so hard we were in tears. Daddy was a serious type of man, but when he made us laugh we would cry he was so funny. Daddy I miss those crazy moments we all shared so much. We definitely knew how to have a good time.

Watching my mom and dad dance together in Monte Carlo. I never saw two more happy people. Also, the day we met Roger Clemens. My dad loved "The Rocket" and we went to a golf tournament Roger was playing in. Roger saw we were all wearing Clemens shirts and he came right into the crowd to sign our shirts. My dad was beyond over the moon at that moment. I got us the shirts hoping Roger would notice us and he did...that day was priceless.

Vacations galore....we went everywhere together as a family and I loved every minute of it. On a lesser note I loved going grocery shopping with my Dad.

Daddy: Mommy and I are missing you so much. The days are not getting easier and little things make us cry. Mommy is in good hands with me as I promised I would be there to take care of her. We are trying so hard to be strong and we lean on each other for support. Every place we go brings back memories of our family times together. We have sooooo many memories of all of the places we went together. We really concurred this world. Sometimes when I just need a little smile to come to my face I remember the time we wanted to go to Nice, France and almost ended up in Tel Aviv, Isreal. Oh how the three of us laughed about that trip. How we managed to almost get to Israel is just so funny. That story seems to make Mommy and I chuckle because it was so funny. I always knew losing you would be difficult but this is beyond my comprehension. Love you forever Daddy and I know someday all of us will be together again. Love and miss you so much. You were the best Dad anyone could have asked for. Love you so much. Corinne

Sorry to hear. I can remember George driving a Farmall tractor on the farm. Always a happy guy. May he RIP.

George was a great guy. He knew how to be a friend and mentor. Knew George for 46 years and as he travelled and moved around the country he still kept in touch. If you knew George he always stayed the same.
