To the family of George Jarvis;

I met George a few years back when I started with the Star Trek film project. George identified me as a military veteran fairly quickly and we talked about his stint in the Navy and my stint in the Air Force. He teased me about being in the "safe" areas, even after we talked about my injuries and what not. I was looking forward to seeing him again. I will miss him terribly.

All the folks that swarm into town to film our project down at the old Wheelock Garage always counted on old-fashioned, quality service from George--a class act if ever there was one. You will be missed, George, and condolences for the family and friends. Thanks for making smiles and memories for people on our project from around the world.

To George's family: I had only met George in the midsummer of 2006. I came to enjoy visiting his pizzeria. George would strike up a conversation, be friendly and discuss interesting topics. He loved to tease his staff, but you could tell he was a good-natured person.
He took good care of his customers: One nioght we sent someone there about 10 minutes to order about 15 - 20 pizzas for the Star Trek studio crew down at Wheelock's old garage. George never blinked; he kept the "girls" past closing and we had out belated dinner in short order.
George befriended us when we came to town. He loaned us tables and even a few chairs one time. He came down to the studio to visit, sometimes bring the pizzas with him. He alwyas greeted our crew and actors with a smile and a friendly demeanor.
George and his crew have porovided meals not only to most of our regular cast and crew, who hail from around the world, but to such celebrities as Nichelle Nichols, Cali Ross, Chase Masterson,Crystal Allen, Denise Crosby, Bill Blair, Tim Russ, Walter Koenig, George Takei, Alan Ruck, Gary Graham, J. G. Hertzler, Garrett Wang, Doug Drexler, Jim Van Over and others.
To George's family, I know the star Trek New Voyages / Phase II cast and crew will miss George. On behalf of our nearly 300 cast and crew members from around the globe we offer our combined condolences and our prayers for your husband, father, grandfather and our friend, George Jarvis. May he have Eternal Peace.

What an AWESOME man he was. He was always willing to share a story or two, and his views of life were ALWAYS positive. He actually knew the story of the origin of the mafia AND FINALLY, knew that artichokes were part of a Northern Italian Calzone. What a blessing, what a friend. He most ASSUREDLY will be missed.

To all of George's Family and Freinds;

George was a wonderful part of the Port Henry community. We always looked forward to stopping in and visiting with George when in town.

We always tell folks to go to his place for the best buger in the Adirondacks!

I am so glad the last time we were in town we stopped for our usual, yes you guessed it, a burger.

George was in his office and I spent about 15 minutes chatting with him. He would always take time to chat, it didn't matter what he was doing.

This was during the fall, I am so saddened that it was the last chat I would have with our long time friend.

After close to a 20 year friendship, I can only begin to understand the loss of this wonderful man to his Family and lifetime friends.

We were blessed to be able to call him a friend, and share many laughs together.

George, you will be missed by ALL that had the privilege to call you family or a friend.

To Ann & Family, Please accept my deepest sympathies. George will be greatly missed by many people. His support of various causes, like the Fire Departments, was well know. For others, in need of a favor, including myself, George was always there. He was known for his great sense of humor and loved a good joke, even when played on him. George was my friend and I will miss him dearly.
