George Martin Lambeth

George Martin Lambeth (77), currently of Winston-Salem, NC, and before so of Charlotte, NC; Baltimore, MD; Pensacola, FL; and Savannah, GA passed away peacefully Saturday the 2nd of March, 2024.

Mr. Lambeth was born the son of Frances Lambeth and George Martin McCall on January the 15th, 1947, being raised first in the Charlotte, NC area, and then later in Baltimore, MD. Upon maturity, he volunteered in the service of his country for the U.S. Navy, and then the U.S. Coast Guard, in a combined service to his country of thirteen years. He was honorably discharged and upon completion of his service, he attended Pensacola Junior College where he received his degree in Biomedical Instrument Technology and met Victoria Lambeth, with whom who he would wed and raise a family in Savannah, GA. He retired from Philips Healthcare Systems as an engineer and moved back to Pensacola, FL. He would later move to Winston-Salem, NC where he would live out the last years of his life with his only son Stephen and his family.

Mr. Lambeth was an honorable man who was wounded in combat in Vietnam, received two Purple Hearts, and a Presidential Unit Award for Heroism. Despite that, Mr. Lambeth considered his greatest life accomplishment and his legacy to have been that of becoming a father. Mr. Lambeth left this world in the loving arms of his son who considered his dad to have been his biggest hero. Left to his eternal memory is his son Stephen Lambeth and Stephen's wife Jennifer of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by his grandchildren Eleanor, Stone, Claire, and Miriam Lambeth, his brother David Conner, David's wife Maria Conner, his brother Joseph McCall, his sister Bryn McCall Renton, his nephew Joe Conner, his niece Brandi Conner Stankiewicz, and his former wife Victoria Lambeth.
