George "Randy" Mihalik

George "Randy" Mihalik, husband of Mary Ann Gahagan, passed away after a brief but brave fight with lung cancer on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was 64 years old.

He was born in Steubenville, Ohio to the late George and Emily Mihalik. His Dad moved the family to Fairless Hills, PA when US Steel built a plant there. Randy followed his father's lead in working for the steel plant. He became an electrician through the apprentice program and was a member of local 4889, United Steelworkers Union. He attended and graduated from Pennsbury High School and Bucks County Tech School in 1967. He began a career of 33 years with US Steel when he was only 18 years old. For the past 15 years he owned and operated his own electrical business, Lakeside Electric.

In addition to his loving wife and best friend, Mary Ann, he is survived by his daughter, Tracey and her husband Mark Czajkowski of Fairless Hills, his granddaughter, Amanda Kay Packer, and his grandson, "the Polish Prince", Mark Czajkowski Jr.; sons, Randy (Carol) of Groves, Texas and his granddaughter, Madalyn Mihalik and grandson, Jake Mihalik; and Jason Mihalik, Fairless Hills. He was predeceased by his guardians, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Noah, and his youngest sister, Antonette "Cookie" Walker. He is also survived by a sister, Geraldine Leck (Walter) of Newtown and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Randy was a very hard worker. A private man, with a good sense of humor, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and trips to the Atlantic City casinos, taking care of his home and the many animals he and his wife adopted over the years, and having good times with neighbors and friends. He will be sorely missed by a lot of people.

Visitation will be at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9:00 until 10:00 am where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
