May the paths that open up in our new life when passing be as good to Mr Pickrell as they were in his life here.
My deepest regrets....
I know of your family only from a very close friend-Greg Newman.
All the stories I've heard over the years have all been very nice ones...I have also enjoyed many a beautiful bouquet from your store !
Many tears may be shed but at the end of the tunnel there is always a brighter light...
Enjoy all your wonderful memories !

Dear Dora, Peter, David, Stephen, Christine and Families,
I was saddened to learn from my parents of George’s passing.
I keep with me fond and amusing memories of George at many Lions Club Christmas parties over the years. George always had time to find out how and what the youngsters where up to, never to busy to ask "How are ya?"
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to read of George's death and my sincere condolences go out to George's wife and family. We first met at the Central YMCA when we were teenagers having fun and playing basketball. We parted as we grew up and went our own ways but over the years we occasionally saw each other and talked over old times. George was a great guy. Sorry to hear he's gone.

I'm the kid that lived at 500 Marlatt, just dowm the street from the Pickrells. I hung out with Peter, David, Miles Wong and Tommy Lynch ("The Marlatt Boys"). Mr. Pickrell would drive us down to the MAA. What a great family the Pickrels were. A good memory. Thank you George.

Pat and I were very sorry to read about George's passing. Our association goes back to McGill and our experiences out west on the harvest in 1942. George was a terrific guy and I am sure he will be greatly missed but look at all your beautiful memories you have.

On behalf of the Barnes family, I would like to offer my sincerest condolences. George (and Dora) were always warm, fun loving and open in true "Trini" style. I will always remember his kindness in welcoming me when I first came to Montreal. They both made you feel as if you had known them for years. Finally, I'd like to add that this legacy has been passed to all his children and his spirit surely lives on in them.

The heavens are laughing just that much more right now with George there! He's in good company.
George was a good friend to my father (Dick Renaud) but more importantly he was a good friend to our family. His warmth and generosity will not be forgotten. I also had the priviledge of knowing him as a "boss" as well and count myself very lucky in that regard.
Dora, Peter, David, Stephen & Christine my thoughts are with you.
George THANKS for sharing your life with us!

My deepest condolences for your loss of such a great husband, father and family leader.
Wow ... the end of an era ! We shall miss you George. The legacy continues through your family. I have great memories of George and the whole Pickrell clan from early childhood onto adulthood. We had great times at the MAAA and all the parties the Lions Club threw. We know that George will certainly be involved in some associations up in Heaven and that a great time will be had by all. (The next time we hear thunder may be all those Lions "Roaring" up there!)
