PLESKO GEORGE W.
Age 96, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away May 1, 2015. He attended Pittsburgh School of Accounting after high school. George then attended the University of Cincinnati in Civil Engineering. His next 25 years would be spent with the US Army Corps of Engineers - Pittsburgh District in the engineering and real estate divisions. George also worked with the Department of Housing in Urban Development as a Housing Counselor, where he retired in 1982. During his career and following his retirement, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as Bachelor of Business Administration in 1960 and Master of Public Administration in 1979. George was a volunteer for ten years with the Radio Information Service reading to the blind. He also spent ten years as a negotiator with the Better Business Bureau of Pittsburgh. George was also a longtime member of the Syria Shriners and a Noble for McKinley Stuckrath Lodges No. 318. Donations may be made in his honor to the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen. George is survived by his wife, Jean; four children; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
