George Quick, 83, of Lake Winola, passed away at Geisinger CMC Scranton on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
George was born in Johnson City, N.Y., on Oct. 16, 1939. He was the son of the late Glenn Charles and Elnor Gardner Quick. He was married to the late former Marion Kathryn Lovallo for more than 55 years. George worked in the maintenance department at the Tunkhannock School District.
George graduated from Abington High School in 1959 and he enjoyed working on his antique cars, watching wrestling, and he was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army as a Flying Crew Chief.
In addition to his parents and wife, George is preceded in death by three siblings: Glenn William Quick, Sarah Sjogren, and Jonah Quick.
He is survived by his two daughters: Kimberly and husband Jeremy Campbell and Deborah Quick and husband Nathan Tersteeg. He is also survived by a grandson Scot Campbell and great grand-daughters Alexandria Campbell and Mia Poland; and a brother Floyd Quick.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 21, at 11 a.m. from the Harding-Litwin Funeral home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. James Rugg officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
