Gary Schultz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 5, 2018.
Gary B. Shultz, 66, of Connellsville (Bullskin Township), passed away unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at his residence. He was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Connellsville, a son of the late Wade R. and Dorothy M. Stahl Shultz. Gary was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School with the Class of 1970. He also attended Val Technical School and received his mechanics degree. He had worked as a machinist at Robertshaw Controls in New Stanton for many years and later worked as a truck driver for Cavanaugh Trucking and Shaw Coal. He also worked as a mechanic for many people in the area. He was a member of the Fairview Aid Society and the Bridgeport Sportsman's Club. Gary enjoyed going to the Laurel Mall Flea Market and McDonald's, where he would enjoy sitting around drinking coffee and having many wonderful conversations with all of his friends. Gary will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving children, Andrea Shultz, of Brownsville, Terri Shultz, of Greensburg, and Christopher Shultz, of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Alexis Lancaster, of Brownsville, and Karleigh Shultz, of Greensburg. Gary was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his wife, Toni Eileen Carolen Shultz, on May 12, 2011; and his brother, Lonnie Shultz.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, 724-628-1430. A memorial celebration of Gary's life will then be held at 6 p.m.
