Man, to go back and meet old friends is always a treat for me. I wish I could have gone back in time to meet George after high school for a little while. We tried to get him to come to a 5th grade reunion our teacher back then had. George was like her favorite kid and she and I both were kind of saddened he wouldn't come, but at least we spoke with him a little. It's amazing what happens after we become adults and get some skills behind us. George would have found much friendship amongst everyone. I wish I could recall it all. From running over to church to say some Hail Marys then tell Ms. Janecko we did at the rectory and her saying thanks to just general chatting at recess...and of course during class like all kids did.....but it escapes my memory what we even spoke about. I'm sure it was the important topic of the day though! It hurts to keep loosing friends, especially those you want to see to just say hello in person. Always a place in my heart for my friend, George though we've lost contact when we parted ways at school. I'll never forget him.......

Dear Tom: Please accept my sincerest condolances with the loss of George. In my bewilderment at his passing, I did not realize your pain until I read thru the whole guest book this evening. Perhaps someday we could meet. Would love to hear some of what you and George shared if you're up for it. He was my best friend all thru grade school. Though we parted ways from high school on, he was always on my mind and often wondered about thru the years. I'm glad I got to at least speak with him a little after all these years before this. God bless you and all in Geroge's circle of family and friends and comfort everyone in this great loss.

OMG, I can't believe it! We were talking about getting together to chat and I found that I lost my grade school friend before we could get together. We were supposed to talk about our times of growing up and the old days including those in one of our favorite teacher's classroom - Lillian Label. I am so very sorry we have not had the chance. I only just found out, from Lillian of course, I lost my chance to be with my old friend from yesteryear. Rest easy George, I'll always remember you.

He wasn't a "brilliant" student,
Just an ordinary boy,
But for 3 years in my classrooms
He provided so much joy.

I claimed him as my favorite
Of all the kids I taught,
And over these 40+ years,
He's been often in my thoughts.

He couldn't attend our reunion,
Said he wasn't feeling well;
His disappointed classmates
Had many tales to tell.

I know that Jesus holds him now,
And has alleviated his pain.
Our loss, so hard to comprehend,
Is truly heaven's gain.

In my eyes, sweet Georgie,
You'll always be eleven.
May the angels lead you into Paradise,
And may we reunite in heaven.

With love and sympathy to all who knew and loved Georgie.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Tom: I am so sorry for your loss. Both you and George have always been good neighbors. I will indeed miss George. Even when he wasn't feeling well, he was always friendly and helpful. I know that George had a wide circle of friends, and well be missed by many people---and by three puppy dogs. Blessings and love during this difficult time. Kim
