George VARGA Obituary
It is with great sadness but gentle relief that I and our families announce the peaceful passing of George Varga on October 25, 2012 at the age of 76. We loved you dearly and always will.
George was born in Budapest, Hungary October 6,1936 just prior to great unsettlement in that country that lasted until he fled in 1956. At the age of nineteen he arrived in Canada as a refugee and contributed considerably through initiative and prior education to the sixties industrialization of our province which unfortunately also contributed to the early decline of his health.
George was very proud of his heritage but fiercely loved his adopted country. He leaves behind three sons John (Cathy), Bill (Lenore), and Ron, four grandchildren David, Kim, Nick, and Cody, his wife Mary Stich-Varga, her three sons John, Thomas, Richard (Barb) and grandchildren Cameron, Ian and Emma. George's first wife Grace predeceased him in 1988. This gentle and unassuming man will be missed by his many friends in the Hungarian and Canadian community.
A Funeral Service will take place at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel 16310 Stony Plain Road on Wednesday October 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. A Viewing will take place one hour prior to service.

I met George when working with his son Ron at W.P. Wagner. What a beautiful caring father. I really got to enjoy and know Ron. He had many talents. I am sure Ron will miss his father.
