George Whitmore Obituary

HUDSON - George O. Whitmore Jr., 94, husband of the late Teresa (DeRoche) Whitmore, died Dec. 28, 2012, at his residence. He was born March 14, 1918, in Hudson, the son of George and Elizabeth (Bailey) Whitmore Sr.

George was a lifelong farmer and along with his wife cared for cattle, chickens and farm gardens.

Surviving are five sons, James Whitmore and his wife, Geneva, and Hosea Whitmore and his wife, Debra, all of Hudson, George O. Whitmore Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of North Carolina, Richard DeRoche of Alton and Raymond DeRoche of Milford; two daughters, Pricilla LePage of Sangerville and Linda McCrossen and her husband, Steve, of Greenbush; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George was predeceased by two sons, Joey and Albert; and one daughter, Katherine St. Thomas.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of services with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. Spring burial will be at Pushaw Cemetery, Hudson. Please visit www.ThompsonFuneralHome.org.

George Whitmore Family. John and I wanted to offer our condolences to the entire Whitmore Family. Our life was made better with George as part of it. The laughter he provided over the past 40 years with him was priceless and he gave the best hugs around. The entire family will be in our regular Prayers.

its been a long time but i known george for along time he was a very nice guy.to all that new him i must say to his wife and kids i am so sorry for your lost. may god be with you all at this time .i also went by there house and look in to see if GEORGE was out side doing something but i never saw him god bless you know your with all the angles.love MELISSA
