Georgette Marie Paider

Georgette Paider, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 73, in Punta Gorda, FL, due to complications from a stroke. Her devoted husband of 45 years, Jim, remained by her side until the end.

Georgette was born on November 17, 1949, to her parents, George and Melva (Cernohous) Straka, and grew up in Prescott, WI.

Georgette met Jim while attending classes at UW River Falls, and they married and raised their four children in Ellsworth, WI.

She was a strong-willed, caring, giving, and loving woman who had a gift for conversation and could talk to anyone about anything. Georgette loved traveling and exploring new places with Jim and their friends, and they visited many warm and sunny destinations by car, boat, or plane. Cancun, Mexico, was one of her favorite places to visit, and she had a talent for finding beautiful jewelry wherever they went. She also enjoyed spending time boating and fishing with Jim and was a skilled card player who loved games such as Euchre and Bridge. Georgette was known for her love of gatherings and looked for any excuse to have a party. The holidays were her favorite time of year because she loved spending time with family and friends and spoiling her grandchildren with gifts. Appetizers and drinks were her love language.

Georgette is survived by her loving husband Jim, her twin daughters, Wanda (Brian) Doughty and Wendy (Jeff) Smith, her two sons, Bill (Tina) Paider and Zach (Angie) Paider. Her grandchildren, Kylie and Bruce Doughty, Blake and Rae Anna Smith, Casey, Cody, and Jordyn Paider, Lexi and Ashton Macht, and Zayna Paider. Her siblings, Monica Bray, Gene (Ronda) Keller, and Ron (Jemina) Keller. Jim's siblings, Joseph (Patricia) Paider, John (Anne) Paider, Josie (Herb) Trask, Jerry (Alice) Paider, Jeffrey (Debra) Paider, Jacob (Laura) Paider, and Jesse (Kathy) Paider and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents George Straka and Melva Raasch and Jim's parents George and Carmen Paider.

A visitation will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth, WI, on June 13, 2023, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. A celebration of her life will follow the mass at The Ridgetop.

Georgette will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
