GERALD EHRINGER Obituary
Dr. Gerald Lawrence Ehringer, a well known local physician who served this community for many years, passed away Friday at Florida Hospital. A native of New Albany, IN and Air Force veteran, Dr. Ehringer moved to this area from Jacksonville. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dr. Ehringer was an accomplished pianist and played for some of our local churches. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. In lieu of other remembrances donations may be made in his memory to Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation. Survivors include his beloved wife, Claudia Helena Ehringer; his children, George Lawrence Ehringer, Cynthia Janovsky, Lisa Danyluk, Sophia Langley, Teresa Parrino, Claudia Marcela Ehringer-Lucas, and Joshua Ehringer; a brother, Nick Ehringer; a sister, Claudia Mikulaninec; and 14 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so today (Tuesday) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dale Woodward Chapel By The Sea, 1780 Oceanshore Blvd., Ormond Beach. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm. Condolences may be shared at www.dalewoodwardfuneralhomes.com.

Dr. Ehringer was such a special Doctor. He saved my life when I had my appenix removed. The nurse kept taking my vitals and kept saing the machine was broke. I felt like I was dying and asked to call my family. They most have broght in 3-4 machines but my heart rate was over I think 170-180. They were trying to give me a new IV but could not find a vein. Dr. Gerald Ehringer came into the room and said why could you not take her vitals by the manual way and then had me admitted to intensive care for 3 dAYS and saved my life. Thank you Dr. Ehringer for recognize that I needed more intensive care. You have always been a very thoroughly Doctor and I always appreciated you over the years. God Bless You and your family. I never relized you had so many children and grandchildren. You will be greatly missed by so many. Thanks for taking care and watching over me for the last, I think 12 years.

Such a loving and compassionate Man who so tenderly cared for us. Now He is an Angel in Heaven and is still looking after us. God Bless the Family of Doctor Ehringer.

Our deepest sympathy to the Ehringer family. Doc was our family physician when we moved to Ormond Beach and always took great care of us. I recall calling him on a saturday evening when our son had a bad chest infection and He met us at his office to see him. It's that kind of compassion that made him the great physician he was. He will be missed by all of us

Dr E you will be missed by so many. You and Beatrice were always a part of my family when I was growing up. So many memories. Dad's best friend and hunting buddy, our family doctor, travel partners with my parents, and, of course the visits to Highlands, NC.
