Peacefully, on Friday, June 6, 2014. Beloved husband of Sheila Rothstein. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jennifer and Danny Aboudi, Jordan Glasser and Amanda Steele. Cherished "Gramps" of Carli and Joseph Aboudi; and Sage Glasser. Dear brother and brother-in-law of A.J. and Kirsten Glasser; and brother-in-law of Stephen Rothstein, Howard Rothstein and Lois Colle. Loving son-in-law of Sylvia Rothstein. Special uncle of Elan and Debbie Glasser; Jared Rothstein, and Bryanna Rothstein. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Melnychuk and the 8th floor staff at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at his home. Sheila,
Steven and I are so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. My memories of Gerry are wonderful. I was lucky enough to work with him for a few years, where he made me laugh all the time. His stories of beating the draft and his impersonations of Mr. Phyllis had me in stitches and keep his memory alive in my heart. It was a bonus that the four of us became friends outside of work and enjoyed a few evenings together of laughter and good fun. Words alone cannot express my condolences. You and Gerry are one of the happiest couples I know. Cherish those memories Sheila- may they keep you strong and centered during this difficult time. We love you. Iona and Steven Sloan
