Dear Kathy and Family,
My husband and I began seeing Gerry in 1971 for dental care on the recommendation of my father-in-law, Ronald MacDonald, who was Gerry's Professor and Biology Department Head, PreMed at Assumption College. Dad thought so much of Gerry and said he was a most talented student. Believe me, Dad did not give compliments that were not earned. Colin and I loved Gerry's humor as well as his skill as a dentist. We came to consider him a friend over the years. We will miss him so much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and his beloved family. He was so proud of his children and bragged every time we saw him, proudly displaying pictures. We have you in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.

Dear Kathy & Family,

We were completely shocked to hear the news of Gerry's accident, and are at a loss for words. He was always "the life of the party" and everyone loved him. He will be missed. Some day we'll all be together again for eternity. Love, Dennis & Terry Buchieri

Dr Gerard was the first dentist I actually looked forward to going to. It was never painful, and he had such a sense of humor...it was an event! We are stunned to hear of his passing just now. I hear he was doing what he loved, if that's any small consolation. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the Gadbois family and his tremendous office staff.

To the Family and Staff of Dr. Gadbois: I am very sorry for your loss. Over 30 years ago, Dr. G personally wrote a letter to my Mom encouraging her to have me see an orthodontist. One of the things he wrote in that letter was his description of me, "Your beautiful daughter." I have not forgotten, nor will I ever forget, his deep concern for his patients. Today, I can smile with confidence, all because of him.
With deepest sympathy,

To the Family and Employees of Dr.G; I just returned from a business trip and am in shock after reading about the loss of this great guy. Dr.G has been my dentist for many years and I never felt more comfortable in a dentist chair. It was always an interesting conversation with Dr.G and we shared a love of Harleys as well. I was impressed with all the interesting things he did to his bike and he once let me take it for a ride. Dr.G was a true gentleman and will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. My heartfelt condolences to all.

It’s Saturday night and I just heard about Dr Gadbois’s death. My sympathy goes to his wife, family and staff. It’s a terrible loss for them but it’s also a loss for his patients because he had a way of making each of us feel as if there was a special bond with him. He was on one of the nicest people I have ever known. I first met him when he and his brother opened their offices on Elm Street and there were many times he stayed late or came in on his day off to accommodate myself or other patients during a dental emergency. His exuberance for life, his photos and stories & his sense of humor made each appointment seem like a personal visit with a friend.

Our hearts go out to the family, friends and staff of Dr. Gadbois. He has been our dentist for 30 years and we will always remember his happy go lucky attitude and his quick sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all. God bless during this difficult time.

March 13, 2010

Dear Kathy, Nathan, Justin and Alexandra,
Please accept our deepest sympathy. Gerry will truly be missed. He was a great person. His memorial service today was truly memorable. He was our family dentist for many years and his good humor and kind words as well as his professionalism we will always remember. I first met Gerry and Kathy many years ago when my dad had a dental emergency. At that time he had just opened his practice on Elm street in Worcester. This was an emergency visit I believe it was a Saturday and he was so kind to my dad taking care of his emergency. Kathy was his assistant for this visit. At that time he told me he lived in Whitensville near the Golf course. I told him I was working next door at Uxbridge High School. He remained my family dentist for many years to come! I mostly remember his humor and how he made me feel at ease when I was in the chair waiting to be seen. We will truly miss him. God Bless.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. G. My kids can't understand why I am so upset about my dentist dying, but Dr. G was more than my dentist he was my friend. I have been a patient of his for almost 30 years I believe. He was a very loving, caring, and generous man, and a gifted dentist. My deepest condolences and thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Kathy, and his children, Nathan, Justin, and Alexandra, and the rest of his family. They also go out to his wonderful staff that work so well together, Sue, Pauline, Diana, and Sandy. You ladies are the best! May God give all of you the strength to get through this difficult time and always remember the memories of Dr. G. I will miss him terribly. God Bless you Dr. G. See you in the next life.
Lots of love,

My heart goes out to Dr. G.'s family and staff. I feel blessed to have known such a kind, funny, honorable man...and a truly gifted dentist. Every time I had an appointment, I enjoyed seeing his remarkable photographs and hearing about the family vacations and where the pictures were taken. It was so heart-warming to hear how much he loved his wife, Kathy, and their children Nathan, Justin, and Alexandra. I can still see his smile when he became a grandfather! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Dr. G. touched so many lives...he will be missed.

March 13, 2010

Dear Mrs. Kathleen Gadbois and family,

It was a total surprise and shock when I learned Wednesday evening (March 10th) about Gerry's passing.

As a dental patient and client of Gerry's for the last thirty years, I remember how careful a dentist he was with my super sensitive teeth. He always made sure that I had enough Novicaine to reduce any sharp pains, but once in a while even this was not enough. Several times when Gerry unintentionally struck a nerve ending, I would nearly fall off the dentist's chair. Because he was so caring, a true professional, and highly skilled, Gerry would add extra Novicaine in my mouth, leave the room, come back fifteen minutes later, and then seamlessly do his work. Gerry always assured me of when he was almost through, then congratulate me every time I got through whatever needed to be done. In between we talked about skiing, golf, and his love for motorcycles. During my visits, Gerry was always positive, professional, and caring. He will be truly missed.

I was at the memorial service today and it served as a fitting tribute to a man who loved life, beauty and wonder.

I am so sorry for your great loss, and my sympathies and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

Dear Mrs. Kathleen Gadbois and family,

We are brother and sister-in-law of Richard and Katherine Morocco of Holden. During our about weekly phone call, Wednesday evening, Dick and Kathy passed on to us about, if I may, Gerry's passing. We sort of feel as though we knew him because often over the years Gerry's friendship and professional contact with Dick and Kathy would come up in their conversations with us.

We are so sorry for your loss.

Dearest family and Diana, Pauline and Sandy,
I have wonderful memories of Dr. Gab's entertaining stories and skillful dentistry. He shared his heart, his love for his family, his mistakes and successes. He spent 30 minutes in my car convincing my son to return to his chair. Who does that in today's world? Only Dr. G. Here's hoping that you have a sea of ice cream and kit kats in heaven.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Gadbois family,

Dr Gadbois (or "Dr. G" to me) was my family's dentist since he started his practice in Worcester. I first visited him when I was only 7 years old and remained his patient (30 years)even though I have lived in the Lakes Region of NH for the past 6 years. I can't imagine walking into that office in April and not seeing Dr. G. I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children as well as those in his office.

God Bless . . . The Martin Family

We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a kind, considerate and compassionate man. We were patients of his for over 25 years and will deeply miss him. The world is a little less well off for losing such a man.

March 11, 2010

My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Gadbois Family, including his working family- everyone in his office was with him as long as I've been going to Dr. G. over 24 years ago. I am still in shock and terribly saddened by this loss-he was a warm, gentle, kind and caring man - which is why his practice was so successful. He always made me laugh and I must say has given me much to "smile" about. I will forever miss him! Donna Sibley and Family

Dr Gadbois, you have been our family dentist and friend for almost 40 years. I was so happy when my mother took me to see you in your office on Elm Street in 1972. You were handsome, young, funny, and great with me and my brother Paul. You always had a joke or story to tell and a ready smile when I came for my visits. You have been a good friend to me and my family. You thought of everything - even a special pillow for my mother, Esther, because of her vertigo.

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Gadbois for many years and will miss him so very much. Dr. G had a terrific staff and it was obvious they enjoyed working for him. To Dr. Gerry Gadbois family , staff, and friends: Words cannot express the shock and sadness we feel as we have learned of Gerry's passing. He was just out doing what he loved best...a ride on a nice afternoon. He was an outstanding person, kind, funny, and generous. We shared a passion of riding, and he made going to the dentist actually a fun experience that most people dread. We have never been able to find a dentist here since we moved away that could compare to Gerry. We will always hold you so very dear to our hearts. You became a friend when we met you. God bless you... another angel on earth taken all too soon, and so very tragically. You will live on forever in the hearts of all you touched. Joe, Catherine and Ashley Olen, Kissimmee/Tampa, FL

Many people have expressed their feelings and condolences on the T&G article comments section. I can only reiterate their feelings. Dr. G was funny, professional, caring and a great conversationalist. I also want to note that he was a gifted phtoographer. I have always thoroughly enjoyed viewing his artwork at his office. In every respect, Dr. G will be missed.
