It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gillis Marie Bjarnason, who died on June 12, 2025. Born on September 27, 1966, in Petersburg, Virginia, Gillie, as she was known, was 58 years old.

Gillie spent her early years in Virginia and North Carolina before embarking to Vancouver, Canada in her late twenties. She lived there for ten years before settling in Kent, Washington, where she met her husband in 2009. They built a life together, eventually buying a home in Puyallup in 2019, where she achieved her goal of becoming a Licensed Customs Broker.

Gillie was independent, loving, and kind. She loved to travel, especially to Europe. She was a devoted "dog mom" to her beloved pups, Parusha, Louie, and Crash. She will be greatly missed by them, her surviving husband, her mother, her father, and many more including the friends she met throughout her career and travels.

Her memorial will be held at noon on August 23, 2025 at 28616 48th Avenue South Auburn, Washington, 98001.
