New Smyrna Beach - Georgina "Gina" Grundish, 73, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, surrounded by family.

Gina was born on August 22, 1950 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, the daughter of the late Ralph E. Miller and Isabelle Miller. Although a Florida native, her father was in the Navy so she lived in many places such as Japan, Guam, Hawaii, Connecticut, and Jacksonville and then graduated high school in Lemoore, California in 1968, before moving back to New Smyrna Beach.

She married Bruce Grundish, on July 25, 1970. She worked as an Operator, Dispatcher, and an Engineering Specialist for the BellSouth / AT&T Telephone Company for 38 years. She also very much enjoyed attending her grandson's baseball games and was excited to watch him pitch in high school. She was very active all the boys' school activities. She had a green thumb and loved her plants, playing Sudoku and weekly dinners with friends.

I was in Bruce and Gina´s wedding, having known Bruce since 7th grade. It was wonderful to see from the very start and throughout their marriage how well they flourished together. Gina was special for many reasons including her ability to keep up with all of Bruce´s jokes and adventures. What a sad, sad loss for all of her family and friends. May God comfort her family and help them deal with this loss.

My love and prayers are with Bruce and family. Enjoyed working with Gina and Bruce too. Always keep memories of working at the phone company with special people. May the Lord give you peace and comfort. I am deeply sorry.
