Gina Marie Kinney
1978 ~ 2015
Gina Marie Kinney passed away peacefully on October 25, 2015 at her home in Boise, Idaho. She was born June 22, 1978 to Susan and Rick Kinney in Great Falls, Montana. Gina was born with many physical challenges, yet no matter how difficult her life she never felt sorry for herself and never wanted anyone's pity. Throughout her life, Gina focused on her abilities, not her disabilities and in spite of being born with a defective heart, her heart was filled with love, warmth and caring for all.
Gina grew up in Montana having a joyful childhood surrounded by her many friends and family. She went to school in Billings, Great Falls and Lewistown, Montana. After graduation from high school, Gina earned an Associate's Degree from ITT Technical Institute, Norfolk, VA. After earning her degree, Gina moved to Boise, Idaho. There she met and married Cody Jackson on June 8, 2013. She loved her life with Cody and their "fur babies "(puppies). Gina loved spending time with her brother Levi and the rest of her family and friends. Gina also loved reading, watching movies, playing games and social media.
Artistic creation was a main theme of her life and she was gifted in artistic expression. She worked primarily with clay though it didn't stop there, she could take broken glass and turn it into a piece of art. She honored many family members and friends with her clay creations, spending days putting her soul into each unique piece and incorporating their personality into each and every gift.
Gina's life touched many people, she inspired everyone with her kindness, bravery and her love of life despite her physical challenges. She would want everyone to remember her by being kind to each other and being kind to our earth. No one who knew Gina will ever forget her wonderful smile, unbreakable spirit and her love of life.
Gina was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Richard (Rick) Kinney; her grandparents, Clarence and Irene Kinney; grandparents, Charlie Catchpole and Jessie Murphy; and her aunt, Shannon Murphy. Gina left behind her mother, Susan Catchpole Kinney; brother, Levi Kinney; husband, Cody Jackson; aunt Lisa and uncle Steve Thorne who welcomed her into their family like a daughter, their children Brooke and Josh Krattiger who were like a brother and sister to Gina; along with numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gina will lie in rest with her father in Lewistown, Montana. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made on her behalf to The Muscular Dystrophy Association in Montana, 2132 Broadwater Ave, Suite A, Billings, MT 59102. Please be sure her name is on the check so the donation will be earmarked for Charcot Tooth Marie research.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Gina's memorial webpage at www.summersfuneral.com.

Gina was an important piece of who I am. We met in the late Nineties through our mutual friend Bobbi. Gina's place was a welcoming environment, she always was solid back and insightful. When I was at my lowest she took me in, and was a true friend. I never feared being myself around her. I am sorry we lost touch, she was a magical personality.
