Glen Trenholm Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 5 to Apr. 6, 2011.
TRENHOLM, Glen May 2, 1938 - April 3, 2011 After a long battle with Multiple Myeloma, Glen passed away at home on April 3. He leaves behind Lois, his wife of 52 years; his two daughters, Cathy (Kim), and Linda (Ken); and his grandchildren, Ben (Emily) and Kyla. Also missing him will be his two sisters, Eva and Lil; his brother, Allan; his mother-in-law, Eileen Hardwicke; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne, Steve, Daryl, their families, and many nieces and nephews. Glen made many friends where he worked in the Construction Industry from 1959 to 2005. He will be remembered for his ever present smile, his quirky sense of humor, his kindness, generosity and willingness to help others. Special thanks to Dr. Belch and Dr. Quek and for the kindness extended to us by the Palliative Home Care team. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, 18407 - 60 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Multiple Myeloma research at the Cross Cancer Institute or the Stollery Children's Hospital. To Mrs. Trenholm, Cathy and Linda, I'm very sorry for your loss. Mr. Trenholm was the kindest person and at the same so direct and funny. I recall Mr. and Mrs. Trenholm allowing me and and friend of Linda's to tag along on a family vacation to Hawaii. I don't think it was much of a vacation for Mr. and Mrs. T as they spent the majority of their time ensuring us teenaged brats were fed, entertained and out of trouble. Since I am now the age that Mr. and Mrs. T were at that time, I have a great appreciation for how nice that was of them.

You've always been my Hero
When was 5 and scared to go to the outhouse in the dark, you were the only one that didn't tell me to man up and instead put an electric light in the outhouse ! ( probably the only one in Canada ). You taugh me to always look for solutions not problems. Thanks Unc
