Mrs. Gloria Jewell Lovett

COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Jewell Cameron Lovett, 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lovett died Saturday, August, 16, 2014. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late James Bryan and Vernell Worrell Cameron. She was a proud graduate of Olympia High School, class of 1944.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Cameron Lovett and her financé, Stephen Lee Vinson both of Asheville, N.C.; son, Henry A. Lovett Jr. (Karen) of Chapin; two sisters, June Cameron Roof of Cayce, Elaine S. Browder (Cecil) of Lexington; three grandchildren, Cameron Nestor Moreno, Melissa K. Lovett, Lt. Hal Lovett, U.S. Navy; two great-grandsons, Lawton D. Lovett and Ashton C. Lovett. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Albert Lovett; daughter, Susan Elaine Lovett; brother, James B. Cameron, Jr.; son-in-law, Ricardo A. Moreno; and brother-in-law, James D. Roof.

The family wishes to thank Agape Hospice and her caregivers, Dina Stacey and Kortney Lord, for their support and comfort. Also, special thanks to her Timmons Street neighbors for being such an important part of her life.
