From: Laura Cosgrave
Sorry to read about the death of Gloria Moquette on google. The Cosgraves and the Moquettes should try to stay in contact in this era of e-mail. Please read my rememberance of grandfather, Colonel Lawrence Moore Cosgrave, at www.nytimes.com search A Battleship at Rest.

Our recent years knowing your mother were far too few in number yet immensely enriching. We know she will rest in peace, proud of her loving and extensive family.

We both send you our profoundest condolences on the very sad loss of Mrs. Moquette. What fun we had with her in China! She was such a trooper, traveling lighter and making less fuss than most of us! Our love to you all, Michèle and Jim

Gaby: Please accept my condolences on your mother's death. Heather tells me that she also was a student here at Thomas More. Nice to know that there was another legacy passed on.

A dear and kind soul, a fine lady, Rosalind lived across the street from us on St George's place. With her cheerful comings and goings with her two pups... always with a spring in her step, smiling into the day as if she held the secret to life in her heart .... she was joy... she was inspiration. As I write, I am holding a precious book that she gave to my little Chinese daughter Penelope who by some stroke of fortune is a gifted artist herself ... The Children of China, An Artists Journey by Song Nan Zhang.
I last saw Rosalind in the early summer, we passed notes back and forth as we were seated akimbo having pedicures. Sandra helped her out the door and then... on a mission... to her own devices as always ... Rosalind flagged a taxi and she was off... smiling into the day.
We were left with that pleasant warmth that one feels when we have been touched by an angel. Rosalind was a real one... I am certain. I am lucky that she put her hand on my shoulder, however briefly. Kathleen Farley
