Gloria Ann Rasak

Gloria Ann Rasak of Woodland Hills, California passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on Friday, February 18, 2011. Gloria was born in Provo, Utah on September 16, 1924 the youngest of three children (Joseph Bardwil and Richard Bardwil) born to Eva Boshea Bardwil and Said Bardwil, Lebanese immigrants from Zahle. Gloria graduated from Fairfax High School in Hollywood, California in 1943 and attended college at the University of Southern California. In 1946, while employed at MCA, Gloria married her soul-mate, John Charles Rasak at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. John Rasak, whose parents were also Lebanese immigrants, was a Medical Doctor practicing in the Los Angeles area for over 40 years. John and Gloria were married for 49 wonderful years and lived in Flint, Michigan, Beverly Hills, California and Woodland Hills, California. They spent summers together with family at their homes in Lake Charlevoix, Michigan and in Lake Tahoe. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband John, who died on September 27, 1995 and by her oldest daughter Linda Rasak/Peters, who died on September 20, 2008. Gloria is survived by her three children; Valerie Pantell, Jeffrey (and wife Kim) Rasak and Jon Rasak, as well as her son in law, Robert Peters and ten grandchilden; Madison Rasak, Fiona Rasak, Robert Neff, Brent Pantell, Ashley Panossian, Megan Pantell, Matthew Pantell, Greg Peters, Trent Peters and Ryan Peters. She is also survived by five great grandchildren. Gloria will forever be loved and remembered for her kind and loving spirit which enriched all those who knew her. In memory of Gloria Ann Rasak and in honor of her Savior, Jesus Christ, the Holy Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 24, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, California. A Funeral Mass/ Church Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 also at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. Gloria will be interred with her husband John in the East Courtyard at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, California immediately following the Church Service at Good Shepherd.
