Gordon Graham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 16, 2005.
GRAHAM, GORDON - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon F.C. Graham on August 11, 2005 at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He will be greatly missed by his wife Kristin, parents Arnold & Phyllis Graham, brother Gary (Bonnie), Cory, Gerald (Chelsea), Niece (Tasha), nephews (Travis & Dustin), parents-in-law (Tom & Betty Wilding) & their family, aunts, uncles, cousins & many friends. He was born April 9, 1963 in Regina where he completed his schooling during which he worked at the Prairie Lanes Bowling Alley. He was funloving & made friends easily & loved nothing better than a good joke done in the proper dialect he especially liked telling and Irish joke. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force right out of highschool & took basic training in Cornwallis, N.S., was posted to Shilo, Man. where he married in 1985. His many interests included badminton, darts, bowling, & loved music and a good book; he was an avid golfer & had made arrangements to play golf at the old St. Andrews Golf Course in Scottland but this dream was never realized. He had also been posted to Ottawa, Cyprus, 5 years in Germany, finally Winnipeg, Man. where he bought a home. He proudly served in the Canadian Forces since 1981 where he made many close friends who continued to support him through his illness. He achieved his dream, the rank of Warrant officer & will be honoured with a military funeral. Visitation will be held on Monday August 15 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 16 @ 2:00 pm at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys (Base Chapel), 2235 Silver Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba on the Health Sciences Centre.
