Grace J. Bondi

HARWICH — Grace J. (Torrisi) Bondi of Harwich died peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Eagle Pond Rehabilitation & Living Center in Dennis. Born in Lawrence, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Anthony & Mary (Cavallaro) Torrisi, where she graduated from Lawrence High School and the McIntosh Business School.

She was an accomplished executive secretary, providing years of service on Cape Cod in the Assessor's Department at the Yarmouth Town Offices, Cape Cod Cablevision, and Cape Cod Community College, as well as owning and operating a successful business, Sunrise Painting of Carson City, Nev., with her husband, Tony.

She was predeceased by her first husband of 23 years, Edward Jarosz, who died in 1975, her brother-in-law, James Dolan, and a stepson, Sam Bondi. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Antonino Bondi of Harwich, her sister, Ann Dolan, of Dennis, her daughter, Ellen Muse and her husband Charles, of Wilbraham, her son, Edward Jarosz, Jr. of Dennis, her stepson, Vincent Bondi of Calif., her 7 grandchildren, Katherine, Daniel, Brian, Kevin, and Meghan Muse and Zachary and Max Jarosz, a nephew, many cousins, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Grace's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Eagle Pond for their kind and compassionate care of her.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main Street (Rte. 28), West Harwich, MA. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Church in Harwich followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery in Hyannis.
