Grace Koski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 24, 2006.
Grace A. Koski, 76, of Virginia left us to be with God and her loving family that have gone before her on Wednesday, March 22, 2006. She was born on Dec. 20, 1929 in Mandan, North Dakota, one of 10 children born to Moses Franklin Hailey and Myrtle Agnes Johnson from Washburn, North Dakota. She married for the first time on April 11, 1947 in Wibaux, Montana to Kent Patrick Maloney. During their marriage they had seven children born and raised in North Dakota. His job brought him to Minnesota in 1954, and they settled in Iron. On July 18, 1958, Kent left his family to be with the Lord. Shortly after Kent's passing, Grace met Kenneth A. Koski of Embarrass. They were married on April 20, 1959 and had one child together. Grace was employed as a nurse's aide at the Virginia Regional Medical Center for over 15 years. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth and a member of the Catholic Daughters. Grace's greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her fierce independence, her unselfish giving and her love for the simple pleasures of life. She was welcomed into the Lord's presence by her grandparents; parents; Kent; brothers, Eugene, John, William; sisters, Margaret and Violet; daughter, Kristie Kay Nordlinder; great granddaughter, Sierra Grace Upton; and son-in-law, Edward Martin Gunderson. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Kenneth A.
