Among my earliest memories was learning to swim with Graham under the guidance of our mothers when we were about 5 years old. As we grew up we shared many mutual friends all of whom admired Graham“s scholarship especially among fellow lawyers. He had an unassuming nature and always demonstrated compassion. He loved the great outdoors as a hunter and fisherman; he sold me on the joy of sporting dogs as I once witnessed him training a black Lab to retrieve. Such a gentleman who offered so much will be missed.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family.

Graham Holding will always be our good friend. As those of you who know him might agree, he is one of the most interesting and complex persons we have ever known. He presented himself as a gracious and humble gentleman and didn't try to impress with his intelligence and training. His sense of humor was very fine tuned. The Holdings are great game players, and Graham certainly gave Jane a run for her money in the pursuit of winning. He loved folk music; Ian and Sylvia, Bob Dylan, Emmy Lou Harris, and would join in singing "Four Strong Winds" whenever our group got the instruments out. Graham appreciated a good wine, but made a real adventure of exploring new single malt whiskys from around the world. We will miss him dearly and are thankful to have these and many more photos of some of our travels with Graham and Jane.

Dear Jane, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Graham was a treasured friend of the family - meeting you at a party (with Mom's help). He was there for my sister and I when Mom died ....I remember Graham as a young man coming to the house with others to go out dove hunting each fall. A quietly good man, he loved you dearly.
Much love to you,
Junie Reeves Ewing

I had the pleasure of being Graham's assistant at RBH for a few years. He was always polite, gracious and very kind. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his memory be eternal.
