Greg Connell Obituary
Connell's custom-built biplane, known as Wolfpitts, hit the ground after failing to pull out of a dive maneuver.
Connell, who owned Greg Connell Airshows, based in Trenton, S.C., started flight training in 1989, following in his father's footsteps by training with local legend Al Patton.
A memorial service for Connell will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2016 at 7 p.m. at The Richmond on Greene in Augusta, Ga., his family said in the post. Friends can visit family from 5 to 7 p.m. before the service. The address for the event is 725 Greene St, Augusta, GA 30901.

Charlie Connel and family so very sorry for your loss of Greg,we are praying for all the family.I first heard of the tragedy from Vic Youngblood,,who thought so very much of Greg as a friend and working with plus their passion for flying.Al(Chif) youngblood and Vic are my stepfather and brother.I also heard from Len Sturdivant and Diane Stynchcombe.I don't know if you remember we all went to Bass and graduated in 1959............As a foot note...Take comfort in knowing that Greg was a fine man and left his mark on society by doing something he truly loved David and Verna Brewer

To Ginger, I am so extremely sorry for your loss. I know all too well what you are experiencing because exactly one year prior, my beloved husband was called home of a massive heart attack. I can say that it helps to focus on all the wonderful memories that you shared with Greg, at least that is what my focus has been all year. I knew,gregg all throught jr high and high school.I use to watch our team play on the field.he was an amazing football player.and even though he ran in a another circle of kids at school.he always talked to everyone who talked to him.he was an very sweet young man when I knew him in school.and even though I have not seen him since school.it hurts my heart to know he is gone.and even though we mourn him.at least he died doing something he loved to do.I never knew that he was a,stunt pilot.I think that,that is a,awesome thing to do.he will be very much missed by his family and friends and people that knew him from school.god be with his family on this terrible trade that has happened

I new Greg from the gym, was one's ask too clean his plan. Wish I could of done that. Because he was a great guy and wish I had a chance to know if more. Always at the gym when I would go and always had that phone in his hand, the man was all way busy. Always had a smile, always told me see you later big guy. I will never forget Greg.
