Greg Downs Obituary
Greg Allan Downs, a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, left us to be with the Lord on November 9, 2022, at age 61.
Greg was known for being a proud father, genuine friend, and kindhearted man. He was a loyal Houston sports fan, proud Texan, and lover of all things country and rock n’ roll. He left his mark on others through his laughter, effervescent personality, and by giving the best hugs ever!
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Scotty Downs, and step-mother, Sally Downs, his mother, Jane Ullmann, and step-father, Tom Murray, and his brother, Mark Downs.
He is survived by his daughters, Katie Downs and Ashley Ballesteros; son-in-law, Adam Ballesteros and granddaughter, Scarlett Ballesteros; his brother, Darryl Downs; his sister, Dolly Crockett and brother-in-law, Robert Crockett; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews which include Ginger Westra, Janeè and Roxy Downs, Erica Wyatt, Ashton and Jewels Westra, Lily and Kinslee Mullen, Jace and Kason Dugger, and Elli Jane Holt.
Rest in Paradise and be at peace, Daddy. You were taken from us all too soon. We will miss you more than words can express. We will forever hold you close to our hearts. We will always be your “big and little baby girls”.

He & My late Dad worked together and became great friends .. we had so much fun at the lake when he would come ski with us & knee board ! Always smiling ! I’m in disbelief he’s no longer here ! I was fortunate to have worked and develop a friendship with Greg while he worked in Arlington, TX. He was larger than life and always in a great mood. And, yes, best hugs ever! You will have a VIP seat with Him as you left this world trying to do the right thing. Heaven is a better place with you in it. My heart is sad this day but my life was enriched by knowing you. You leave two beautiful daughters who will be carry on your legacy to this world. Until I see you again.....

Your personality was bigger than life! You knew how to give a real hug and your laughter was loud for all to hear.
