Greg Holmes Obituary
ABINGTON, Mass. - Greg S. Holmes of Abington and Laconia, N.H., 45, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2010.
He was beloved son of John R. Sr. and Kathleen Ellen (Driscoll) Holmes.
Greg worked in the service department at Sullivan Brothers in Kingston, Grappone Ford in Concord, N.H., and was service manager at Harley-Davidson in Manchester, N.H. He was also an accomplished carpenter and floor and tile installer.
Survivors include three sons, Michael E. Holmes, Nickolas S. Holmes, Jacob M. Holmes; a daughter, Victoria E. Holmes; two sisters, Andrea Holmes and her partner Paul Loughlin of Rockland, Elizabeth Carmignani and her husband Nick of Holbrook; two brothers, John R. Holmes Jr. and his partner Jennifer Cantalupo of Whitman, and Douglas S. Holmes and his wife Deborah (Gordon) Holmes of Whitman. Loving father of Michael E. Holmes, Nickolas S. Holmes, Jacob M. Holmes and Victoria E. Holmes. He is also survived by his former wife Nila Morrison.
His children were the joy of his life. Greg was loved by a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., Rockland, Mass., on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth St., in Abington. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greg Holmes Memorial Fund, c/o Sovereign Bank, 533 Washington St., Abington MA 02351.

I am so very sorry that it has taken me so long to Sign Greggles Guest Book. He was an amazing friend, and to me like a big brother. You do not come across people like Greg everyday and for that my life is richer and truly blessed. To his Family my love and prayers are with you. Greg was a talented guy, and a great asset to work with. I enjoyed sneaking down to his office to grab a copy of the Herald. I am very sorry he's gone, he will be missed. Godspeed, Pontytail.
