Gregory "Scott" Childers, 64, of Blythedale, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at home. He was born January 14, 1959 in Wichita, KS., and was the son of the late Lee Roy Childers, Jr., and the late Edith (Thompson) Childers. Scott was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and West Virginia Northern Community College. He was a Walmart Associate in North Huntingdon and was a member of the Workingman's Beneficial Union. Scott was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Melinda Jill (Freeman) Childers, children, Anna Kimberly of Washington, Valerie Childers of Pittsburgh and Nicholas and Audrey Childers at home, brothers, Roland "Rocky" Childers of Blythedale, Chris (Sue) Childers of Sutersville and Glenn (George) Childers of Elizabeth Township, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Roy "Tinker" Childers and sisters, Cindy Criswell and Marina Childers. There is no visitation. Scott was great what a gentleman. When I worked bakery he would help me get boxes down in freezer! Wonderful guy all around I will miss
