Gregory Sutek Obituary
Gregory William Sutek, 19, of Mount Vernon, died Wednesday June 14, 2017. He was born May 26, 1998 in Monroeville. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and was a 2016 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. He was a Scholar Athlete and a Championship Swimmer on the Swim Team there. He was also on the high school baseball team, the American Legion baseball team, the All American Baseball team and the St. Vincent fall baseball team. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Heather Marie (Fox) Sutek, II of Mount Vernon, brothers, Dakota Fox and Camden Matthew Sutek and sister, Reagan Sutek at home, step-sister, Skyelar Sutek of Buffalo, NY., grandparents, Janet (George) Gerber of White Oak, Daniel and Penny Fox of St. Petersburg, FL, and Kathryn Sutek of Plum Borough, aunts, Bethany (fiancee, Sonny Stewart ) Gerber and their children Jax, Colton, and Gage Stewart of Adamsburg, Katherine (Aaron) Bova and Larissa Gerber of White Oak, and Anne Michele Lyons of Oakmont, uncle, Daniel Garrett Fox, II and his children, Payton and Garrett of Liberty Borough, cousins and many friends. Friends are welcome Saturday June 17 from 4-8:00 pm. and Sunday June 18 from 12-3:00 pm., at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Heather and Family,
I was never fortunate enough to have met Gregory but I feel as I if I knew him through Heather's words and the emotion that she showed when she would talk about any of her kids. He must have been an exceptional young man and I believe that God must have had a special reason for calling him home when He did. I hope that you are comforted by all the people who came to pay their respects over the past two days. To have been that young and to have impacted that many people is quite uncommon and means that he was a special young man. May God bless and keep you over the coming months. Time will heal slowly but surely. My thoughts and prayers are with you in these days.

I am still in disbelief.. I can't imagine going through this. Greg was such an amazing kid, always had a smile on his face and very determined about everything, I had the pleasure to get to know him through our years of swimming and Honors classes. Sending prayers and love to you all. He was a blessing, he will for sure be missed.

I'm so sad to hear this Greg was always down the dek at south hills when I was reffing he would be in the penalty box running the clock ....always making me laugh and just being a kid he reminded me alot of how I was at his age . prayers to his family he was a good kid and he will be greatly missed....RWG my friend
