Gurdip CHAHAL Obituary
July 21, 1931 – March 20, 2017
Mrs. Gurdip K. Chahal passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 85. Born to Udam Kaur and Jagir Singh Hayer in Moranwali, she spent the first forty years of her life in India with her three siblings: late Piara Singh Hayer, late Surjit Kaur Shergill, and Jagtar Singh Hayer. She immigrated to Canada on August 15, 1972 and created many beautiful memories with her family in Calgary ever since. Gurdip Kaur was always described to be full of life, wit, and most of all, love. She will be missed by those she leaves behind: her husband Ram Narain Singh Chahal (Veera Ji); her son Harsukhjit S. Chahal and wife Sukhbinder K. Chahal, her son Harsukhpal S. Chahal and wife Sroopinder K. Chahal, her daughter Sukhvinder K. Bura and husband Parvir S. Bura. Her endless laughter will also be missed by her eight grandchildren. The family will be celebrating her life at the funeral service, which will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 Street NW (within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery) on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The final prayer will be held at Sikh Society Calgary, 739 – 81 Street SW. You are past the suffering and the pain, may you rest in a peaceful sleep.
