Died peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, March 15th, 2019, at the age of 87. Dearly beloved husband of Irmeli (nee Tulikoura) of 63 years. Loving father of Raymond, Theresa Forget (Katherine Smith), Richard, and Joseph LaPlante. Cherished Pepere of Jennifer Sampson (Christopher), Lia LaPlante(Andrew DeBartolo), Robyn LaPlante, and Grand Pepere of Connor Sampson and Kyla Sampson. Father figure to Johnny Federchuk(Cally) and their daughter Sonja. Dear brother of Noella Bégin (Late Aime), and predeceased by siblings Gerald (Lucy), Roland (Mirelle), Walter, Simone St. Onge (Marcel), Violet Gadoury (Roland), Henri, Jimmy, and Marcel (Survived by Gilberte Forget). Will be fondly lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby on Saturday, March 23rd at 10:30 a.m. Followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery (355 Taunton Rd., E Whitby) Reception will be held after the interment at Oshawa Funeral Home 847 King St. W.
